About the author

Molly Absolon worked as a climbing, backpacking, mountaineering, and winter instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) from 1986 until 2000 and the birth of her daughter. She is currently a freelance writer for projects ranging from writing communications materials for environmental groups to marketing copy for tourism promotion. She lives with her daughter, Avery, and husband, Allen O'Bannon, in Lander, Wyoming.
