Torture... Torture I tell you. Wanna know why? Because I had this book waiting to be read but I couldn't start it. I was reading another book and couldn't stop. But once I got the chance, oh my, it was all hands on deck. Natasha Knight is the queen of darkness. Her books are spectacular and with a thick cloud of darkness and suspense in each chapter. Have you had the chance to read any of her books? If you have, you know the power she has over us, but if you haven't... Guys... Just go for it. Devil's Redemption is her latest release and it's the second book from the Devil's Pawn duet. Have you seen the covers? They are exquisite. Guys, one piece of advice, you need to read book 1, Devil's Pawn, first, because they are not standalone. This new book keeps exploring the lives of Isabelle and Jericho. As you know, Jericho had a major revenge plan against the Bishops' family, so, to achieve it, he married Isabelle. This could be a love story but oh buy, it was not. He hates her and makes sure that she knows it. When the first book ended, in a major cliffhanger, Isabelle got the news that she wasn't expecting at all but... Dear God... What a book... What a journey... Dayum, it was intense, to say the least... Sublime plot, very well written, super engaging, and dark. Each chapter was so addicting that I saw myself reading non-stop. The characters, the plot, the web of danger... It was so perfect. There were parts of the book that I wanted to murder someone... I really did, but then there were others that I wanted to hold them and promise better days. The level of darkness in this book is so thick that my heart hurt. It was intense to read and the hot stuff... Oh, guys... The hot stuff is... Dayum... Just that, hot. The characters worked perfectly with each other and despite all the drama, they worked perfectly with each other. This book gives us darkness, crime, torture, drama, punishment, as well as love, second chances, desire and so much more. Overall, it was the perfect conclusion to an amazing duet. Dayum Natasha... You nailed with both books. I love them so much and the covers... Hot... Please tell me that Zeke is going to get his own book... I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow, that was an amazing conclusion to the story! So full of twists, truths, and turmoil. So much pain to overcome, so many betrayals to accept, and so much forgiveness to be given. There are setbacks, there are stark realities to face, and there are things that cannot be undone. But the core of it, the love of two people and the family they have created, that keeps our characters centered. Isabelle and Jericho don’t have an easy path, they are their own worst enemies at times, but in the middle of it all, they fell in love with each other. That is tested over and over again, by outside forces, by themselves, but in the end, they finally turn to each other, and once they do that, they are unstoppable!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second half of this duet. Jericho and Isabelle's path to happy ever after is hard fought for and only comes after many twists and turns and lots of dark moments. I loved how in this installment we get a lot of Jericho's pov. We see what he is thinking and where he is coming from and it made things so interesting. This part of the story has a lot of action, a lot happens fairly quickly and you will keep turning pages waiting to see what will happen and how it will all work out. I love Jericho and watching how his characters progresses from who he was at the start of the first book, to who he is by the end of this one makes for an engaging read. Isabelle was slightly frustrating at times, despite the fact that she has direct interactions with someone that should immediately have her questioning them and wary of them, she continues to be naive about who they are, but this added to the suspense and action. The Devil's Pawn Duet was a dark romance with lots of twists and turns. I can't wait to see what Natasha Knight writes next!
