Nate Terrell has witnessed and experienced the healing and transformative power of these strategies in his work with clients and his own quest to be more self-compassionate. He lists additional strategies at the end of each chapter that you can begin using today to live your life with abundance, fulfillment and serenity - you deserve it!
Many people believe that it is selfish to be self-compassionate. However, there is nothing selfish about eliminating self-criticism, treating yourself with kindness, feeling worthwhile, being happy, transcending your worries or finding a peaceful place within. These gifts, which you can give to yourself at any moment, will fill you with positive energy and caring you can pass onto others.
Nate Terrell invites you to check out his website at www.achievingselfcompassion.com where you can sign up for self-compassion coaching over the phone and discuss your own experiences with self-compassion. He looks forward to hearing from you.
Nate Terrell is a licensed clinical social worker who has had the privilege of helping his clients find greater happiness and inner peace by developing self-compassion for the past 38 years. He also provides training on self-compassion for hospitals, nonprofit organizations and schools to help participants eliminate stress, become resilient and build community through his company, Organizational Growth, Inc. Finally, he teaches Interpersonal Communication at Temple University. After spending most of his life putting aside his own needs to help others, Nate Terrell was inspired by his daughter (who has a form of autism called Rett Syndrome) to choose happiness and his teenage son to take great care of himself, be his own best friend and relish every moment. As a result, he has even more energy to serve others and help create a better world. Now he wants to pass on what he has learned about achieving self-compassion to you. Nate Terrell lives with his wife, Dr. Anita Foeman, and three children in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, where he has a home-based therapy practice. He can be reached at [email protected].
