About this ebook

Millions of Americans use e-cigarettes. Despite their popularity, little is known about their health effects. Some suggest that e-cigarettes likely confer lower risk compared to combustible tobacco cigarettes, because they do not expose users to toxicants produced through combustion. Proponents of e-cigarette use also tout the potential benefits of e-cigarettes as devices that could help combustible tobacco cigarette smokers to quit and thereby reduce tobacco-related health risks. Others are concerned about the exposure to potentially toxic substances contained in e-cigarette emissions, especially in individuals who have never used tobacco products such as youth and young adults. Given their relatively recent introduction, there has been little time for a scientific body of evidence to develop on the health effects of e-cigarettes.

Public Health Consequences of E-Cigarettes reviews and critically assesses the state of the emerging evidence about e-cigarettes and health. This report makes recommendations for the improvement of this research and highlights gaps that are a priority for future research.

Well I have been smoking e-cigarettsfor about 3years and this book does tell you some health risks. It actually answered my questions. Anything I inhale is going to damage my lungs. There is always oxygen for that to help you with you not breathing right! We know real cigarettes will kill you eventually and people still smoke them! I don’t understand why there is such a big fuss about them. I also quit smoking real cigarettes which I know will eventually kill me to smoke something that the CDC doesan’t know much about hiwever I needed oxygen to breath at a normal level because of me smoking real cigarettes and I started vsping a-lot! However my oxygen has got better or I guess my lungs are better and i vaped the whole time I was vaping instead of smoking how-ever I sm Lmost totally e- cigarettes are okay to smoke but we or AT least I know my lungs are getting bette. I know thy helped me to quit. The real cigs Working fir me cause I quit smokingoff of oxygen In my opinion e-cigarettes are way better for you then smoking resk cigarettes Now nobody knows much about them like real cigarettes and I think everyone that vapes knows they. Are taking a risk s Mocking them how-ever I was on oxygen when I started vaping and Now, I don’t use my oxygen so I think.
