Die Schrift »Die Erkenntnis im Lichte der Ontologie« (1949) ist aus einem Vortrag hervorgegangen, den Nicolai Hartmann in der Münchner Kantgesellschaft gehalten hat. In ihr fasst Hartmann seine ontologischen Überlegungen zum Erkenntnisproblem zusammen, die er bereits drei Jahrzehnte zuvor in seinem Buch »Grundzüge einer Metaphysik der Erkenntnis« (1921) auf breiterer Grundlage entfaltet hatte. Das Buch bildet Band 3 der Editionsreihe "INTENTIO RECTA".

Dr. habil. Thomas Rolf (*1967) ist freiberuflicher Philosoph. Er lebt in Marburg und arbeitet als Dozent für Philosophie an Universitäten sowie an Einrichtungen der Erwachsenenbildung.
