About this ebook

Sadie Trill has her summer holidays cut short when she moves to a space station where there is no summer. She loved her home in Vancouver, BC and will soon realize that her new home is full of places and interests for her to explore.

On her first day of class at Blue Moon Elementary, Sadie notices a man in a space suit. His movements look like a dance and she wonders what he is working on. This leads her to explore her interest in mechanics.

Will Sadie make new friends at Blue Moon Elementary? Will she be strong enough to endure when things get hard? And what is that strange food her mom keeps trying to make?

About the author

Fun facts about the author from the author:
1. I have been writing for as long as I can remember. Only when I had girls of my own did I find my passion in teaching them about dreaming. This book was written to help them dream about things that can be.
2. One time when writing a story in school I couldn’t figure out how to spell beautiful and so I replaced it with lovely. Now, I smile every time I hear the word lovely.
3. I moved five times as a child around the small town of Morden MB. Since then I’ve lived in Winnipeg MB, Mbarara Uganda, and Victoria BC. The adventures and discoveries of moving to a new house are countless!

Fun facts about the illustrator from the illustrator
1. I have always had busy hands; keeping my hands moving helps me listen and learn. In school the edges of my papers always had doodles. Even now, I bring pen and paper to write notes and draw when I go to church or meetings.
2. As a young girl I asked my older brother how I could draw as good as he did. He always told me to practice and he was right. When learning a new style of art I will copy the works of others and after awhile start working on my own ideas.
3. I grew up in Southern Manitoba and never realized the beauty here until I spent a year away. When I came back I started to see how beautiful the native species of wild flowers and grasses are. I love sharing this beauty with my children.
