About this ebook

Set in the late 1980s at Odisha's prestigious Ravenshaw College, the story follows the journey of two young men from immensely different backgrounds, each with opposing views on life. One is fleeing his past, while the other hides his darkest secrets. As their seemingly balanced relationship deepens; filled with moments of fun, ambition, frustration, and dreams, fate intervenes in ways far more sinister than they could have ever imagined.
The narrative captures the essence of a young man's self-discovery, exploring love and loss, life and death. With a strong sense of nostalgia the book vividly recreates the long-lost charm of campus life, where personal growth shapes one's identity. Will the two friends succumb to destiny's designs? Or will they carry the burden of those memories for life and beyond ?

About the author

Niranjan Nayak steps out of his comfort zone, poetry, to try painting a world of common boys and girls in an uncommon narrative technique, by posing both as the narrator and one of the protagonists. The author delves deep into the psyche of the characters and manages to blur the thin dividing line between fact and fiction. As the readers embark upon a journey of seeking to unravel the life of some unknown people, gradually they realise the novel is hugely relatable to their own shared and lived experiences, identifying themselves with one or the other character cutting across generations. Nayak, a teacher by profession, has written more than two hundred poems and writes frequently for various magazines of repute.
