Acerca de este libro electrónico

After a robbery gone wrong, hard-boiled bandit Slick owes a debt to the local mob. Looking to leave the criminal life behind, Slick plots his escape – but there’s one thing missing, his beautiful ex, Caprice.

Their passionate affair was interrupted by the war and Caprice, a performer at a burlesque club, is now engaged to owner and mob boss, Rex. Caught in a struggle between surviving and reuniting with the woman he loves, can Slick find a way to get both?

An ode to 1950s Hollywood Noir, acclaimed writer and artist Enrico Marini (Batman: The Dark Prince Charming, The Eagles of Rome) tells a thrilling tale of lust, crime and stoic shootouts.

Acerca del autor

Enrico Marini is a comic writer and artist from Italy. Having studied Graphic Arts at the School of Fine Arts in Basel, Switzerland, Enrico went on to produce a series of rich and gritty tales. Known for his work on the award-winning anthology series The Scorpion from 2000-2022, he went on to produce titles such as the action packed series Gypsy, the vampire series Raptors, the western The Star of the Desert, and the highly successful The Eagles of Rome, a gripping historical saga set in Ancient Rome. Marini soon garnered the attention of DC Comics and was hired to write and illustrate Batman: The Dark Prince Charming, published in 2017 and 2018; a dark noir-esque take on the global icon and his greatest adversary the Joker. With Burlesque Noir hitting the shelves, Enrico Marini is cementing himself as a staple of the hardboiled noir genre.
