About this ebook

A Regency battle of the sexes begins between the scandalously mischievous Lady Rosalind and her dashing secret guardian . . .

A woman of pristine breeding, Lady Rosalind Devine is also an unrepentant meddler and snoop—which is why her brother refuses to leave her to her own devices while on his wedding trip. But Rosalind will not make things easy for any unseen, unwanted “nursemaid”—and vows to use her considerable wiles to expose her mystery guardian.

Nicholas Kincaid, the Marquess of Winterbourne, agreed to secretly guard his friend’s spoiled, stubborn sister, though her infuriating penchant for mischief is causing him to question his decision. Though he’s bound by the rules of society—and friendship—Rosalind’s spirit and sensuality have sparked a fierce desire in Nicholas to play a very different role in her life, one that entails passion, ecstasy—and unavoidable scandal . . .

I stumbled across Parker’s books when I recently read an article listing the “funniest Regency romances.” I am so glad that I checkout out her books from my library. Her first book, “At the Bride Hunt Ball,” had me in stitches. I have enjoyed this third book in the series. Guarding a Notorious Lady is Rosalind Devine’s story, sister to the Hero Gabriel Devine from the first book At The Bride Hunt Ball. Rosalind is a busybody, always trying to matchmake. I loved the slow build and the romantic tension in this book, and there several steamy scenes. I wish I could find more by this author, but she seems to have vanished.

About the author

At eight years old, Olivia Parker wrote her first romance with a fat red marker. It made one's eyes hurt to read it, but it did have a tortured hero. Since then, she's dedicated her efforts to improving her craft (now using pencils) and divides her time among her love of writing, reading, and relaxing with her family. She currently resides in northern Ohio with her husband, three children, a border collie, and a cockatiel, who eats a worrisome amount of popcorn.
