I enjoyed this story very much. I liked the characters Linda and Brutus definitely. I loved how Brutus grew throughout the story and that they connected on an intimate level for both right off the bat. Interesting viewpoint of the man waiting for the woman and the job dangers. Surprised on Brutus's reveal about his career path at the end. True dedication for a partner commitment. Talk about a clean tackle, who tackled who? Great insight on how the military works.

Linda Castellanos is a career infantry soldier. Brutus Townsend is a linebacker with a smart mouth and a short fuse. Until those same characteristics get him in trouble with the league. He’s got to make amends in order to keep playing. The Cranked 3/3 are a mixed bunch of guys, reporting to Sgt Castellanos. They work hard and have a lot of respect for her. When a relationship begins with Brutus, he’s made a spot for himself in with the 3/3.

Different than the first in the series, but in a good way. Same quality writing, with just enough of some familiar characters to connect the stories, without being too much. I really enjoyed this one combining military with pro sports. I definitely recommend this read if you enjoyed the first one...and personally I'm hoping for a 3rd book to focus on Jess! . I did receive an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
