Lifetime Achievement Award, BARRY BROADFOOT widely celebrated for his animated writing about Canada’s past. Broadfoot’s oral history books, Ten Lost Years, Six War Years, and The Pioneer Years, among others, recall the stories of ordinary Canadians, including first person accounts by bank tellers, farmers, waitresses, and poor bloody infantrymen.
