As an artist working at the intersection of traditional aesthetics and AI-generated imagery, I see technology not as a replacement for human creativity, but as a tool that allows new forms of artistic expression. At 70, I am fascinated by how AI can reconstruct human emotions and physicality, capturing the subtlety of innocence in ways that challenge conventional photographic techniques.
This project began as a meditation on memory—on the many faces I have encountered throughout my life. AI allows me to shape these imagined portraits, crafting not just physical representations but emotional atmospheres. Every detail—the softness of the light, the slight hesitation in the subject’s gaze, the natural folds of skin—was meticulously directed to ensure that the images convey a sense of unguarded purity.
