पुण्याची प्रत्येक जागा काहीतरी सांगू शकते इतवंâ इथं घडलंय. फर्ग्युसन महाविद्यालयात गणित शिकविणाऱ्या या विद्वानाकडूनही एकदा प्रमाद घडलाच होता. डॉ. सरोजनी नायडू यांचा परिचय करून देताना त्यांना सामाजिक कार्यात रस घेणारी स्त्री असं म्हणायचं होतं, तर ते चुवूâन `शी इज पब्लिक वूमन' असं म्हणाले!
माझ्या पुण्याच्या आठवणी या आनंददायी जीवनगाणी सांगणाऱ्या आहेत. येथे नकारात्मक काही नाही. `अमुक एक गोष्ट या कारणासाठी होऊ शकत नाही' असली रडगाणी नाहीत. सतत सांस्कृतिक, वैभवशाली जीवन. हे सारं पुणेकरांच्या कर्तृत्वामुळे!
लोक नावं ठेवतात ते पुणेरी वृत्तीला- पुणेकरांच्या प्रवृत्तीला नाही. पुण्यात यावं, इथल्या सांस्कृतिक जीवनानं समृद्ध व्हावं व मी पुणेकर आहे असं आनंदानं सांगावं, असं आहे हे पुणं. इथं सांगितलाय तो केवळ ट्रेलर आहे. संपूर्ण चित्रपटासाठी पुण्यात राहायलाच हवं.
