This is book two in A Perilous Trust Series and it continues Lilah's story and how she met Matthias and it is so emotional that I cried so much while reading it. After Wyatt was murdered two days before there wedding and now three years later Lilah was still having trouble getting better and still not living her life or coping at all so her cousin Inara decided that Lilah needed a night out and even though she didn't want to go they both ended up at a night club and that is where she met Matthias who made her feel something for the first time in three years. Matthias is a mob boss and after his wife died he didn't do relationships or commitment and dedication his life to his two son's and the business but when he met Lilah something happened to him and made him want to find out everything about her to see if he could get to know her. Lilah and Matthias had a strong connection and chemistry between them but how will things go for them after what they had both been through. I loved how Lilah went from someone that was hardly living after Wyatt died to a strong woman that took no messing from anyone even Matthias and I also loved how Matthias was with Lilah even though he was a hard man she just seemed to calm him and they were absolutely perfect for each other and I was so glad that Lilah got all the answers that she needed to be able to live her own life. I absolutely loved this book with all its twists and turns along the way and I hope that we have books for Matthias sons as I would love to read there story. I definitely recommend you read this book but just remember that you will need to read Ashes and Wine first to get the background hits and you definitely will not be disappointed as it is absolutely amazing. Patricia Hoving is an amazing author and writer and I can't wait to read more of her books in the future. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
