Manca del tutto invece un testo di approfondimento per gli studenti e di studio per gli Specializzandi che pur essendo sufficientemente approfondito e aggiornato sia anche relativamente sintetico rispetto ai testi monografici. Oggigiorno le conoscenze in ambito Ortopedico sono così specialistiche che è indispensabile ricorrere all’esperienza di Docenti che si dedicano in modo prevalente a specifici settori della materia. In quest’opera i diversi argomenti sono stati infatti trattati da Docenti Universitari ed Ospedalieri particolarmente esperti nella loro sub-specialità e che hanno portato pertanto nel loro contributo i valori della loro esperienza e del più recente “stato dell’arte”. La numerosità degli Autori che hanno concorso alla realizzazione di quest’opera le ha forse fatto perdere alcune caratteristiche di unitarietà ma a tutto vantaggio della qualità.
