About this ebook

An unmissable novel about love and marriage, families and secrets.

'Deliciously readable' Mail on Sunday

Grace, Florence and Clarissa have been friends for ages, but it hasn't always been that way. When Grace first marries into the wealthy Bennett family, her sister-in-law, Florence, and family friend, Clarissa, do their best to make her feel an outsider. Then the Second World War sets the world alight, and each of the women has to fight hard to keep their secrets safe from one another - and to survive.

A gorgeous, engrossing depiction of friendship, secrets and the difficult decisions that women have to make in a changing world.

'An absorbing page-turner, packed with believable characters' Good Housekeeping
