From the moment Kendall and Logan met, these two had a connection that was captivating. Logan seems like that self-assured guy with his charismatic personality and can-do attitude, but he often sells himself short. His family owns Hunters Cross and he works there but not doing the job he is supposed to. I was surprised by his lack of confidence in running the Marketing department but yet he has amazing ideas to push their product into the future. At his weekly poker game, he makes a reckless bet and now needs to sell 10000 vibrators in 3 months or lose his stake in the family business. Kendall is a very focused single mother that works hard to ensure her son has a great life. She also keeps a journal of activities she wants to do which pushes her out of her comfort zone. When her latest project ends up being helping Logan sell the vibrators, well, she is truly shocked. Logan truly pushes her out of her comfort which has her listening to “Bad Kendall” and embracing a part of herself that she has buried. Rory, Kendall’s son, is a beautiful light in this journey. His love of cooking is a wonderful thing and when Kendall realizes Logan truly sees her son for what he is passionate about, her walls to keep him out of her life truly begin to crumble. The real challenge is can Logan embrace responsibility and realize a relationship with Kendall is what he needs in his life. I enjoyed their journey and loved the layers that each character has with the issues they faced in their past that shaped who they were when they met. Even better is how they help each other reevaluate these areas to work towards something stronger.

If I could give a book more than 5 stars, this would be it. I was addicted from the get-go, I think it may be my favourite Piper Lawson book to date (in fact I know it is). I truly adored Kendall and Logan. Their story is sweet, sexy, and funny. Logan is a true man’s man, he parties, he goes to weekly poker night with his buddies and he loves and protects his family and friends fiercely. He also makes mistakes, but, I’ve got to say, he’s pretty great at owning them. One of his biggest mistakes comes in the guise of betting his shares in his family’s company on selling 10,000 vibrators. Enter Kendall to try and get him out of this mess, a marketing executive promised a huge cash bonus if she can manage to reach his goal. Kendall is a single mom, who works hard throughout the day day and dotes on her adorable nearly 9 year old son, Rory, by night. As a side note, Rory is pretty awesome and stole the show for me more than once. I don’t want to rattle on and on and bore you all, the synopsis says it all, I cannot recommend this book enough. Great writing, wonderful words and characters and a super fun storyline. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but why not read book 1, Easy Love, just to get the feel for this fantastic group of friends.

I do enjoy a single parent romance so they are hard for me to pass up. I'm not gonna lie when I first started this one I wasn't so sure of Logan, but the more I got to know he slowly won me over. There's a heart of gold in that guy. Kendall, she's awesome. She is like my mom was. She has so much on her plate, but the love she has for her son shows and makes sure he is a priority. I loved Kendall's son and his love of cooking. The scenes between him and Logan melted my heart. Those are the scenes the solidify what a good guy he is underneath. Logan does a lot of growing up in this book. I would highly recommend this one. It delivered on the feels, heat, and humor. It's a well balanced book in my opinion.
