Alkibiades I (auch der Große Alkibiades) ist ein philosophischer Dialog, von dem umstritten ist, ob er von Platon selbst stammt oder nur aus seinem Umkreis, der Akademie. Der fiktive Dialog zwischen dem gerade 20-jährigen Alkibiades - dem späteren bedeutenden Feldherrn und Staatsmann - und dem Philosophen Sokrates ist etwa um 430 v. Chr. anzusetzen. Thema des Dialogs ist die Frage, welche Fähigkeiten und Eigenschaften Alkibiades, der eine Karriere als führender Politiker anstrebt, für diese besitzen muss.
