About this ebook

Joy is Love is a beautifully written book of poems that will help restore your spirit and open your mind and soul to the beauty of the love within and around you. Any time we fully experience true joy or feel the preciousness of life on an emotional level, we can expect to feel a great amount of pain. There should be no regret over love, and there would be none if society recognized the difference between the emotions of love and sex. The major difference is that love is spiritual, while sex is biological. This book expresses how real love makes us feel vulnerable. Falling in love involves real risks. We place a great amount of trust in another person.  There are poems enclosed within the pages of this book that describe how new love can stir up past hurts. This includes the ways we were hurt in previous relationships, starting from our childhood. Often, love challenges an old identity within us. Many of us struggle with underlying feelings of being unlovable. We have trouble feeling our own value and believing anyone could really care for us. Love is often unequal and unfair. The truth is that love is imbalanced, with one person feeling more or less from moment to moment. No experience, which strokes the human heart with a spiritual force, can possibly be harmful, except through a lack of knowledge, or distrust. Love is an emotion with many boundaries, tones, and colors.  All too often love is the thing that we are looking for above all else, the universal grail we think will change our lives. We see it as virtuous recognition by another person of our own intrinsic worth. What we have is a huge emotional need for for love and a fear of remaining in this state of unsatisfied longing. As we have seen, love in its pure form is an upwelling from the depths of the inner self. It is a radiance that energized, self-aware spirit scatters in all directions, like the seed from the bottomless of a tireless sower. This is done with a spirit of courage. However, when love is pure, the end leaves us undamaged. This is not to say that experiences will be painless, simply there is no need to fear the pain. We can still move confidently forward in the knowledge that our well of love will never dry up, even though there may be a temporary blockage in the supply. Hopefully, this season of love will bring with it the joy of wisdom regardless of the experience. As you read each poem, remember, joy is love. I pray your days are filled with love.

while reading the poems about Joy Is Love, I notices I have been giving my love out in the wrong ways cause I didn't see joy as love. I have seen love as love but not with joy in it.
