Pratyusha Mandal, PhD is an adjunct professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Emory University. Her main research areas focus on mucosal inflammatory diseases including acute, as well as chronic pulmonary and intestinal pathologies. She is the recipient of the 2021-2023 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Pilot and Feasibility Award, won the 2021-1st Position in Emory Winship Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics competition. She is a member of the American Society for Microbiology, American Society for Virology, and was a participant in the Women in Science Program at Purdue University from 2006-2012 as well as a board member of the National Postdoctoral Association from 2015-2018.
