Originally from Pauri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand, often called Dev Bhoomi, RJ Raawat completed his education in New Delhi, India's capital.

The full form of RJ is the initial of his mother's name and father's name, Roshni Jaspal (Mrs. Roshni Devi Rawat is his mother's name, and Mr. Jaspal Singh Rawat is his father's name). He Married to Komal Raawat, RJ Raawat is a devoted family man who cherishes his son, Dhananjay Singh Raawat, affectionately known as Kalki.
