About this ebook

"You and those pointy little sticks aren't welcome here. You gettin' that yet?"

He has no idea those "pointy sticks" are weapons—and she knows exactly how to use them.

When Abigail mysteriously inherits her dream cottage, she thinks her luck has finally turned. What she doesn't expect is the brooding cowboy who apparently comes with the property—and his volcanic temper that could melt steel.

Fleeing a dangerous past, Abigail sees her unexpected inheritance as the perfect sanctuary. She'll transform the ramshackle cottage into a cozy knitting haven where she can disappear into wool, needles, and the peaceful rhythm of creating something beautiful.

But Cade MacArthur owns every inch of land surrounding her new home, and this scorching-hot rancher considers the sharp-tongued city girl nothing more than a trespasser who's invaded his territory.

What starts as a battle of wills ignites into something far more dangerous.

Every heated argument crackles with undeniable attraction. Every stolen glance threatens to combust. And when the deadly secrets Abigail thought she'd escaped come hunting for her, she'll have to trust the one man who makes her burn—with her life, her future, and the heart she swore she'd never risk again.

Get ready for sizzling chemistry, laugh-out-loud banter, and a love story that will leave you breathless.

From bestselling author, Rachael Herron, this enemies-to-lovers romance delivers all the small-town steam, sass, and swoon-worthy moments readers are obsessing over. Don't miss this SPICY STANDALONE that proves sometimes not only do opposites attract, but the best things come with a little danger attached.

very slow start; a lot of shop talk for outsiders to get into the industry excitement. had put the book down 1/3 way in, just to get a breather from the... bore, and had considered not to pick it back up if not for my own OCD. soldiering on months afterwards, the story still seemed to go nowhere for another 1/3 of the book. it's such a slow crawl. the build-up (from every plot line) is painfully laggy. then suddenly, in the last couple chapters, everything rushed and sped up to a Hollywood action movie climax with explosion on the bridge and all... in a small no-name town, for really no good reason. yikes, but ok. love comes in many forms, I'll give you that. just that the flow of this book is such a drag... ironically enough, much like what spinning yarn feels like. (sorry!)

Solid 3.5 star This was a good read, it did take me a bit to get into it, but once I was, it was entertaining be it frustrating at times leaving me wanting to shake some sense into Abigail and Cade. There are definitely times you won't like either of them and other times you will and while the story of Eliza leaving Abigail some of her property nd how Cade and her will get on is good but add in Abigail having a stalker makes you turn the page to see how it will all pan out. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The book was a little slow to start. Actually, the plot was a cute concept, but really bad follow up. The male is so wishy-washy. Hot one minute, then cold. He even brings another date to the house. Truly not an alpha male. He does not show his "love" in his actions. The end felt almost rushed. Very disappointed.
