Anlässlich des 60. Geburtstages von Marco Frenschkowski, Professor für Neues Testament an der Theologischen Fakultät der Universität Leipzig, entstand die Festschrift Religion als Imagination. The result documents a rather unusual combination of theology and exegesis, magic and faith, literature and fantasy, and leads the reader from antiquity to the present. The Festschrift thus reflects Marco Frenschkowski's extremely complex and multifaceted interest in a very special way and should also be an inspiration for current discussions on the interaction of different disciplines.
