About this ebook

Welcome to my world. One of billions inhabited by the living creatures of this earth. A unique reality occasioned by genetics, social conditioning and the individual experiences of my life. Within these pages lie brief snapshots of my life and understandings. On subjects of abandonment, mindfulness, the environment, creativity, connection, addiction and our often flawed approach to its treatment. It is my sincere hope that some of the sentiments expressed may resonate with others, for therein lies connection, the ultimate solution to the enigma of life.

About the author

Richard Lawson was born in England, but spent much of his childhood overseas. After attending boarding school in Cambridge, he studied Architecture and Landscape Architecture. He relocated to the U.S. Virgin Islands in his late twenties where he spent most of his working life. Forced into early retirement by cancer, he now spends his time playing jazz guitar, painting, writing and taking long mindful walks with a goldendoodle called Sylvie.
