Not exactly a first reading on Chernobyl disaster to me, but the book is most impressive all the same: a well organized sequence of events throug time and clearly presented technical explanations on its main subject. A must.

It is a very interesting summary of Chernobyl's tragedy. The inclusion of Fukushima disaster give crucial information about the current use of athomic energy.

It has interesting facts on the early uses of atomic elements such as Radium and how they discovered Radiation Sickness It describes how the Atomgrad Pripyat was created and how the residents had special privileges that the rest of the USSR did not have.
