About this ebook

In a realm where the shadows whisper secrets, her quest for the truth becomes a battle for survival.

Kate Winter is desperate for a more exciting life. So when a fortune teller reveals that her family is guarding dark secrets, she embarks on a daring voyage to uncover the past. But she soon discovers the fortune teller is hiding secrets of her own, and she has put herself in danger of a horrifying fate.

Alone and penniless in a city that is strange to her, she goes to the only place she knows – the Cross Bones graveyard – to call on the spirits of those who have gone before. Caught up in a battle that began in her grandfather’s time, Kate’s only chance is to draw on the power of the witchblood that runs in her veins.

With the final confrontation approaching, can she put an end to her family’s curse, or will she die a witch’s death at the fortune teller’s hand?

Caress of a Witch is the third standalone book in the suspenseful Darkness Rising series. If you like dark magic and captivating fantasy, then you will love S.G. Slade’s seductive novel.

Content Warning: spicy sex and the occult.

That's some really good dark Fantasy I'm lucky I got my hands on. Although, I haven't read the first two parts, but throughout the story i got a glimpse of what might have happened and didn't for even a bit feel left out. Really loved the way each character's role is shaped. The story evoked multiple emotions in me from anger, revenge, sadness, happiness at the final justice being delivered and most of all curiosity as I kept turning the pages. PS: I received an advance review copy for free.

About the author

S.G. Slade originally hails from the historic city of Bristol in England, and spent many years in London before moving to Sydney, Australia, where she now lives with her husband and son. She has worked variously as a bartender, a secretary, a teacher of English, a shop assistant and a nurse, but a lifelong obsession with books has never waned.

When she isn’t reading or writing (which isn’t often), you can find her either in the garden, going for long walks, or watching old movies.
