ঘুম থেকে চোখ মেলে দেখি ঝলমলে রোদে আমার বিছানা ভর্ত্তি, আমার গায়ে অপরিচিত গোলাপিরঙের কম্বল, অপরিচিত একটা ঘর এবং পাঁচজন অপরিচিত ইউরোপিয়ান যুবক-যুবতী ঘরের মধ্যে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে। তাদের কেউ ব্রাশ করছে, কেউ স্নানে যাবার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছে, তো কেউ জিনিসপত্র প্যাকিঙ। প্রথমে কিছুটা সময় লাগলো ধাতস্থ হতে, তারপর মনে পড়তে লাগলো একটু একটু করে। বুঝতে পারলাম, আমি চিরপরিচিত নিউ ইয়র্কের বাড়িতে নিজের পছন্দের বিছানায় নিজের বালিশে ঘুমোইনি। সময় এগিয়ে গেছে ৬ ঘন্টা!
