Untersuchungen beispielsweise zu Novalis, Hölderlin, A. v. Arnim, E. Mörike, F.Th. Vischer, D. F. Strauß, A. v. Droste-Hülshoff, G. Keller, O. J. Bierbaum, A. Holz, R. Kassner, R. M. Rilke, J. Keats und A. Tennyson erörtern die These, dass poetologische Lyrik nicht nur als Experimentierfeld für poetologisches Wissen dient, sondern die programmatische, gelehrte und wissenschaftliche Poetik auch über 'sich selbst' aufklärt.
