Durch Umsetzung zeitgenössischer kybernetischer Erkenntnisse zum Informationstransport und durch die Anwendung ausgewählter Ergebnisse aus Wahrnehmungsphysiologie, -psychologie und Kognitionswissenschaften prägten sie die Raumproduktion und Rezipientensituation am Beginn des Zeitalters der Informatik und Digitalisierung.
Sandra Schramke zeigt, wie die Eames von 1959 bis 1965 neue Maßstäbe für kalkulierbare Informationsstrukturen etablierten und warum sie als Vorläufer einer modernen Szenografie multimedialer Ausstellungsgestaltung gelten können.
