Prof. Sanjai Bhatt is social work educator, trainer, and development consultant with his felt presence over four decades. Committed to bridging the gap between social work education and practice, he experiments with different teaching methodologies, engages himself in researching social issues, develops indigenous teaching literature, and works with grass-root organizations. During the COVID pandemic, he has developed tasks-based fieldwork. Prof. Bhatt is the Immediate Past President of the National Association of Professional Social Workers in India and Regional President, (Asia Pacific) International Council on Social Welfare. He is Vice President of India Network of Professional Social Work’s Associations, and Ambassador for Global Social Service Workforce Alliance. Presently, he is Convenor, National Campaign Committee for establishing the National Council of Social work Education in India while also teaching at the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi.
