"Sanjeev Bansal was born in Ludhiana, Punjab in 1989. Since his sophomore year at the Jaypee
University at Solan, near Shimla hills, he wrote on every day basis in his diaries for his one-sided love
for a girl, Maya, that ended painfully after lasting for 7 long years. Sanjeev’s first novel Untimely
Dream: Maya published in 2014. In the fall of 2015, Blackbuck publications accepted his second novel
Queen of Ember & her Dead Priest. Sanjeev continued to write short verses, poems that are deeply
personal, with the determination to create art, emotions and feelings out of real life experiences.
Currently, he works for Punjab Energy Development Agency in Chandigarh. His weekends
are mostly spent in the hilly terrains of Shimla, and he can’t imagine life without ice creams."
