3 stars because Deirdre was so selfish and insensitive when Rory told her he was gay and all she could think about was herself. I don't think she was good enough for Tommy. Hence, for me, there was no HEA vibe because character will out and sooner or later Tommy will realize it and they will split. Also, this whole " drown your broken heart in alcohol and dancing and girls night gossip" is so passé and clichéd. I HAVE been in Deirdre's shoes, a boyfriend who broke it off and confessed to being gay and Deirdre's response is just not acceptable and was certainly not the way I dealt with the news. As much as I liked Tommy, I don't think there is much sense in finishing the book.
