Have enjoyed the series so far. But confused as to why Jess didn't use the shields to disable the tainted on the ship like he did with Ali and Dash. I might have missed something in that book but dont want to go back and look.

Excellent series and I really like that the page count increased so much with each volume unlike other series that try to milk ten dollars for the next 100 pages. Well worth the purchase - plenty of hours of great reading
