His other books include Sloane's Complete Book of All-Terrain Bicycles, Sloane's Handy Pocket Guide to Bicycle Repair, and the bestselling The Complete Book of Bicycling, which The New York Times called "the best-known modern bike book - the most read, most quoted, most referrred to by cyclists." Sloane lives in Vancouver, Washington, where he rides his bike every day.
