The book is terrific. This guy was at ground zero, and he tells his story magnificently. Far better than circa 2014 politically correct agenda of the movie. However, there is a doozy of an OCR error on page 60. nu looks a bit like rm, I guess.

Amazing, appalling, and inspiring. Written in an old form of English, it flows like poetry and paints a picture of hell on earth (sponsored by the United States) and bittersweet redemption. It should be mandatory reading in history classes across the nation.

Pages 255-258 are missing, but I was able to find them easily online. I just wish Solomon spoke more about his life after he returned to his family. Also, Patsey's story haunts me. I hope that woman managed to find some semblance of joy in her remaining days. Saw the movie and it definitely does this memoir justice :)
