Spanish vocabulary has a lot of cognates which makes it a rather easy language for English speakers to pick up on. A cognate is a word which is the same between two or more languages. For instance, in Spanish, the word "real" is exactly the same as it is in English, it's just pronounced differently. If language learners can pick up on the differences in natural accents and learn cognates, they can speak great Spanish quickly.
