Great read! Mr. KING doing what he does best....He is still one of my favorite authors. I have not read a fiction novel in a long time and it did not take long for my imagination to take over onceI started reading "Desperation".

Wow.... this book is simply incredible, it had me gripped and I couldn't put it down. Easily one of King's best books. Never be alone on highway 50 and never find yourself in a town called Desperation...

An old mine shaft is reopened, releasing a demon, or a star traveller? Whatever it is, humans can't survive for long once it starts trying to gain a form by using their bodies. Stephen King always has strong, amazing characters, and I liked the way he brought in Cynthia from Rose Madder, my favourite of his books. Frightening and oppressive as the desert storm that hits the dead town, but this time one of his characters has help from God, which is unusual in those books of his I've read so far. I don't know how I missed this one before.
