About this ebook

This is not a book of magic secrets. Instead, it’s a book that boils away the nonsense, leaving you with the mechanisms that truly drive gains.

This book presents my core training philosophies and principles, and the Rep Goal System. Future books will build off these principles, and show you many other workout programs and systems that will help you to build muscle and strength.

Never waste a set. That is what this book is about.

My lifting philosophy is simple: When you maximize every set, you maximize every workout. When you maximize every workout, you maximize progress. It doesn't get any easier than that, does it?

Nothing complicated about this approach, yet it’s not exactly something you hear talked about in the lifting industry every day.

I bought this book not knowing what to expect; it seems every weight training book promises the same thing but never delivers. All I have to say is WOW, there is so much content I can't believe it's only $15. I've searched for Steve Shaw and found lots of articles and a YouTube channel he has and gives a lot of good free info. I would highly check that out and buy the book!

So much straight forward information that is too much to read at once, currently using the rep goal system in my training from ranges of 20 rep goal to upto 80 rep goal for the pump on certain exercises such as tbar Rows (feel it more with higher reps) but this is the type of ebook that when you pick it up you will learn alot each time! Kudos to Steve on this, it's my favourite style of training. Michael

The majority of books available on lifting and strength training are nothing more than one specific program. Often times, it's not even a fully written program, but an unorganized list of exercises the author likes to do. Steve Shaw does a great job of explaining the "why" and "how" of gaining muscle and strength. This uniquely equips the reader to use, and personalize, one of the 20 programs provided in the book. I have tried many other popular programs. I did these without the knowledge provided in this book. After reading it, I started one of his programs, tailored it to fit my needs, and I couldn't be happier. My workouts are now fun and challenging, as opposed to simply being something I made myself do.
