About the author

Steven Mark attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with the intention of majoring in photojournalism in 1995. Although life situations took him in a different direction, he had many ideas for projects that he wanted to pursue one day. One day has finally arrived, and this series of stories has been waiting to be written for ten years. His inspiration for writing comes from a poem that his grandmother had written to her grandchildren in a book of poetry that she had published. Now residing in the mountains of North Carolina, he has found the ideal setting to spend time walking in nature and completing life projects he had long dreamed about.
