Steven Y. Liang (Fellow of ASME & SME), Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, completed Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California at Berkeley. He is Morris M. Bryan Jr. Professor in Mechanical Engineering for Advanced Manufacturing Systems at Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. His research area includes modelling, monitoring, and control of precision machining, and additive manufacturing processes and systems. He supervised more than 80 post-doctoral studies, Ph.D. dissertations, and M.S. theses. His published more than 600 archival articles, 5 books, and 40+ international conference keynotes. Dr. Liang has served as President of NAMRI/SME, Chair of MED/ASME, and Corporation President of a publicly traded company of USD 6B revenue with global footprints and is presently Technical Editor of International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Manufacturing and Materials Processing.
