Every summer John flies to Los Angeles for his visit with Dad. He's sick of feeling like a stranger in "Dadland."

Amy Goldman Koss (amygoldmankoss.net) is the author of critically acclaimed novels The Girls, The Trouble with Zinny Weston, and How I Saved Hanukkah.
