About the author

सुधा मूर्ति का जन्म सन् 1950 में उत्तरी कर्नाटक के शिग्गाँव में हुआ। उन्होंने कंप्यूटर साइंस में एम.टेक. किया और वर्तमान में इन्फोसिस फाउंडेशन की अध्यक्षा हैं। बहुमुखी प्रतिभा की धनी सुधा मूर्ति ने अंग्रेजी एवं कन्नड़ भाषा में उपन्यास, तकनीकी पुस्तकें, यात्रा-वृत्तांत, लघुकथाओं के अनेक संग्रह, अकाल्पनिक लेख एवं बच्चों हेतु चार पुस्तकें लिखीं। सुधा मूर्ति को साहित्य का ‘आर.के. नारायणन पुरस्कार’ और वर्ष 2006 में ‘पद्मश्री’ तथा कन्नड़ साहित्य में उत्कृष्ट योगदान हेतु वर्ष 2011 में कर्नाटक सरकार द्वारा ‘अट्टीमाबे पुरस्कार’ प्राप्त हुआ। अब तक भारतीय व विश्व की अनेक भाषाओं में लगभग दो सौ पुस्तकें प्रकाशित होकर बहुचर्चित-बहुप्रशंसित।
