પ્રસ્તુત પુસ્તક ઇતિહાસના જ્ઞાન માટે નથી, પણ આવી પ્રસિદ્ધ કથાઓ દ્વારા આપણે પ્રાચીનકાળની તથા વર્તમાન વાસ્તવિકતાને કાંઈક સમજી શકીએ તે માટે છે કચ્છની ગદ્દારી કરનાર પૂંજો શેઠ આપણને આપણી જાત પ્રત્યે ધ્રુણા પેદા કરાવે છે. આપણે આવા પણ ગદ્દાર પેદા કરીએ છીએ, જે ચુપચાપ સિંધ જઈને ગુલામશાહ બાદશાહને કચ્છ જીતવા અને રાજકુંવરી પરણાવવાની લાલચ આપીને આપીને કચ્છ તેડી લાવે છે, તો બીજી તરફ મેઘજીશેઠ જેવા શેઠ પણ થયા છે, જેમણે બહાદુરી બતાવીને કચ્છના મંદિરો તુટતાં બચાવ્યા છે. આ ભડવીરની એક સીદીએ હત્યા કરી નાખી. આવા મહાન શેઠને ભૂલી જવાય નહીં.
