Kuhusu kitabu pepe hiki
महादेव मोरे लिखित ‘थ्रिल्स’ या कथासंग्रहातील ‘चिंधी’, ‘पुतळी’,‘दाऊ’, ‘वासना’,‘माधोसिंह’,‘एक हास्य आणि एक खून’ या कथांतील पात्रे मानवतेला हरताळ फासतात आणि मग समाजातील माणसेच पेटून उठतात. त्यांतील काही दु:ख-अन्याय सहन करतात, तर काही स्वत: हत्यारं उचलतात.‘पुतळी’ ही गरीब नर्तकी हाती बंदूक घेऊन खून-लूटमार करत संघर्षमय आयुष्य जगते. ‘रहस्य मधील वकिलाला त्याची अशिल-मिसेस नीला देशपांडे अजब कोड्यातच टाकते. तिचा गुंता सोडवण्याऐवजी वकीलमहाशय स्वत:च त्यात गुरफटत जाऊन फसतात. ‘सूड’मधील लाखनसिंह, रघुवीरसिंह, सुबासिंह यांच्यातल्या आपापसांतील वितुष्टांमुळे-सूड भावनेने त्यांची आयुष्ये उद्ध्वस्त होतात. ‘नियती आणि न्याय’ मधून पंजाबी कुटुंबातील जसपालसिंहचा मृत्यू होतो. जसपालच्या पत्नीचा चुलतभाऊ-महेंद्रसिंग,हा खून करतो का,की- पलविंदरकौर? हे गूढ सतावत राहते. ‘आणीबाणीतील गोष्ट’ ही तोतया प्रेमशंकरची. इंग्रजी भाषा बोलून, खोटा सरकारी अधिकारी बनून, तो जो धुमाकूळ घालतो, ते पाहून सर्वच थक्क होतात. अशा प्रकारे महादेव मोरे यांच्या कथेतून थ्रील, थरार व रहस्याचे वास्तव दर्शन उत्कटतेने होते.

Mahadev More was born in Nipani, Belgaum. He did his education up to SSC there. Later, he entered Kolhapur to study inter arts, but due to the halakhi conditions at home, he had to drop out of college in 1959. After that he also did many manual labor jobs to run the house. But on the one hand, his writing continued. In the meantime, he wrote in various forms such as stories, novels, fine articles, casual articles, writings from daily newspapers, writing reviews.
His first story was published in the weekly 'Swarajya' on October 22, 1959. His stories also won prizes in various story competitions conducted on behalf of 'Navayug', 'Kirloskar', 'Gaovkari'. So far, he has published 14 collections of stories, 18 novels and fine prose. His collection of stories 'Chitak' from 1975-76 and 'Faces behind the face' won the state award. Also, in 2007, he received the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from Maharashtra Foundation, America. His novel 'Zombad' also won two awards for 'Best Rural Novel' in 1990. His books like 'Thrills', 'Bendal', 'Tingad' etc. have also been published.
