There's just something about a story that makes your heart happy after some emotional angst. I really enjoy TO Smith's writing style. I got pulled into this storyline and these characters and was invested in their second chance at love. The book is fast-paced and easy to follow. I just love it when everything comes together for a fantastic HEA. I'm new to this series and am looking forward to going back to read the other characters' stories.

This is a quick read with a little angst and HEA that I need to enjoy a story. Why Trinity didn't think Jimmie would be a good father/partner when she was pregnant (thus, the long-distance co-parenting), I will never understand. He definitely accomplishes what he sets his mind to now. That is bookworld for you! lol I will read more of this series. This story was entertaining right from the start, it’s full of drama and emotion. Jimmie’s steady life on the farm is shaken when Trinity, the mother of his child, needs rescuing after a violent attack. From then on, the mix of family struggles, romance, and Jimmie’s fierce determination to protect his loved ones makes it a gripping and heartfelt read.
