Hasib Chowdhury , Ph.D., is the Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He is an academic researcher, a certified hospitality educator, a certified hotel industry analyst, a certified hospitality & tourism analyst, and a Texas Tech University (TTU) alumnus. Dr. Chowdhury graduated with a Ph.D. in Hospitality, Tourism, and Retail Management from TTU in 2023. He did his Ph.D. on work-life balance in family-owned hospitality businesses. His research interests lie in work-life balance, family business, and sustainable tourism. So far, his research has produced four conference presentations and one book chapter publication, and he currently has three publications at various stages of completion. Dr. Chowdhury has been teaching business administration courses related to economics, management, marketing, tourism, and hospitality. Prior to his arrival at TTU in 2019, he received his bachelor’s (BBA) in 2012 and a master’s (MBA) in 2013 in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. [Editor]
