Contudo, as edições mais antigas que encontramos foram impressas em Roma apenas no século XVIII. MacGregor Mathers, fundador da Golden Dawn e destacado ocultista do século XIX chegou a incluir parte do Grimorium Verum em seu As Clavículas de Salomão: Livro 3 , mas os retirou das edições mais recentes sob a alegação de que os selos e nomes pertencem a um sistema irmão, mas distinto da Goetia.
