The work is structured in seven parts —Preamble, Principle of World Peace, Principle of Social Justice, Principle of Advanced Education, Principle of Integrative Ecology, Measures, and The Path toward the Pure Land— unfolding a journey that moves from a critical diagnosis of consumerist materialism to the proposal of a new spiritual and ecological order.
Its verses affirm essential rights: clean air and water, biodiversity, peace, equality, education, and the protection of Mother Earth (Gaia) as a living superorganism. It also proposes the recognition of Ecocide as the fifth international crime, alongside genocide and other crimes against humanity, and the creation of an International Tribunal for Environmental Justice.
The Sutra of Ecological Rights is not only a denunciation of planetary devastation but also a call to refound civilization upon communal, solidaristic, and sustainable values. Within its vision, spirituality and contemplative science emerge as ethical and creative guides for humanity, offering the prospect of a Pure Land where freedom, justice, and compassion are reconciled with nature.

Master Maitreya is professor in Buddhist Law, and also he is the creator of Buddhist Abolitionism of Maitriyana tradition.
He is graduated as Justice of the Peace, having specializations in Human Rights, Constitutional Law, Indigenous Peoples, Environmental Law, Extrajudicial Conciliation, Arbitrage, Criminal Intelligence, International Penal Law, and Genocide Studies.
