As an abused child, Melinda Master was sent to a psychiatric clinic to help healing her emotional scars. Drew Bridges is a retired psychiatrist who draws upon his forty years of experience as a clinician to inform his works of fiction and memoir. He lives in Wake Forest, North Carolina, with his wife Lauren—a psychotherapist who writes books for children. He is also the author of Family Lost and Found, a prequel of sorts to The Family in the Mirror.
