As an abused child, Melinda Master was sent to a psychiatric clinic to help healing her emotional scars. He lives in Wake Forest, North Carolina, with his wife Lauren—a psychotherapist who writes books for children. He is also the author of Family Lost and Found, a prequel of sorts to The Family in the Mirror.
